Ween - Freedom of 76
I'm a little surprised with myself that it took me this long to post Ween on this blog. They have quickly become one of my all-time favorite bands, and for good reason. Ween is notorious for making albums that feature songs spanning many genres. Here is a sample from 1994's Chocolate and Cheese album;

David Bowie
Today I have some David Bowie to share with you guys. I originally stumbled across this song after hearing Phish play a cover of it. Truth be told, the Bowie version is much better. I think this song has awesome lyrics and is one of Bowie's best works.

Budos Band to Wrap up the Weekend
Today I've got some awesome The Budos Band tracks on as I finish my first week of the spring semester. If you're unfamiliar with The Budos Band here's a sample from their second album:
I think their second album is their best effort so far, but all three of their releases are outstanding and definitely worth checking out.

Funk Friday: The New Mastersounds
To kick things off we have "Land of Nod" by the self-proclaimed "pioneers of new british funk," The New Mastersounds. Just last week I had iTunes on shuffle and nodding my head to this tune before realizing how perfect the name is. This song has a great groove throughout and the organs really give it an ominous and spacy feeling towards the end. Enjoy
